Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson CBE (conceived 31 December 1941) is a Scottish previous football administrator and player, generally known for overseeing Manchester Joined from 1986 to 2013. He is considered by numerous individuals to be perhaps the best supervisor of all time and he has won a larger number of prizes than some other administrator in the historical backdrop of football.

Ferguson played as a forward for a few Scottish clubs, including Dunfermline Athletic and Officers. While playing for Dunfermline, he was the top goalscorer in the Scottish alliance in the 1965–66 season. He was knighted in the 1999 Sovereign's Birthday Respects list for his administrations to the game. Ferguson is the longest-serving supervisor of Manchester Joined together, having surpassed Sir Matt Busby's record on 19 December 2010.
